Welcome to LabelSpy (“App”) provided by KnovaLink (“Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By downloading, installing, or using our application (the “App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must immediately uninstall and stop using the App. 

Definitions

• “App” means the LabelSpy Android application distributed via Google Play.

• “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our” means KnovaLink, the developer and owner of the App.

• “User,” “you,” or “your” means any individual who downloads, installs, or uses the App.

• “Content” includes all text, graphics, ratings, scores, images, and data provided through the App.

• “AI Model” refers to the artificial intelligence system (including Google AI models) used to analyze product ingredients and assign risk ratings.

• “Service” means the functionality enabling barcode scanning, ingredient lookup, AI-driven analysis, and rating display.

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the App, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old (or such minimum age in your jurisdiction) and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. You accept and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy, incorporated herein by reference.

Description of Service

Barcode or Ingredients Scanning

• The App uses your device camera to scan product barcodes (UPC, EAN) or product ingredients.

Ingredient Retrieval

• Upon scan, the App fetches a list of ingredients from our proprietary database and/or third-party open databases.

AI-Powered Analysis & Rating

• We leverage an AI Model (e.g., Google AI) to evaluate each ingredient’s potential risk based on publicly available scientific studies, regulatory guidelines, and historical data.

• The App displays a per-ingredient risk score (e.g., Low, Moderate, High) and an aggregate product rating.

User Obligations

Accurate Usage

• You agree to use the App only as intended (i.e., scanning barcodes and viewing ratings).

Prohibited Conduct

• You will not reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the App or its underlying AI Model.

• You will not use the App for any unauthorized commercial purpose.

License Grant & Restrictions

License

• Subject to these Terms, we grant you a non-exclusive, revocable license to install and use the App on your device.

Restrictions

• You may not sublicense, rent, sell, distribute, or create derivative works based on the App.

• You may not interfere with or damage the App’s operation or networks.

Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in and to the App, Content, and the AI Model remain with Company or our licensors. The App is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Privacy & Data

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and disclose information. By using the App, you consent to that data handling.

No Medical Advice

• Content is for informational purposes only and does not constitute medical, nutritional, or professional advice.

AI Limitations

• AI-generated ratings are estimates based on training data; they may not reflect the latest scientific research or individual sensitivities.

Accuracy of Data

• We strive for accuracy but do not warrant that ingredient lists, risk ratings, or product data are complete, current, or error-free.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Company and its affiliates, officers, agents, and employees will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of (or inability to use) the App, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. 

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Company and its affiliates from any claim, demand, liability, damage, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the App.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause or notice. Upon termination, all rights granted to you under these Terms will immediately cease.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we do, we will update the “Last Updated” date above. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the modified Terms.
